Harley Davidson Shovelhead Bobber Easyriders show winner and feature bike

Shovelhead Bobber built by Hank Young (Young Choppers and Hotrods) and I. OEM 1966 Harley Davidson Motor. Transmission and Primary on a modified (hardtailed) OEM 1979 Harley Davidson Frame. The Bike is titled to the frame. Clear 1979 HD title (Title matches neck VIN and is NOT special construction or salvage). The Engine : 1966 HD 74 C. I. Restamped VIN by state of FL and was issued a rebuild title years ago. I have a bill of sale and title info from state of FL. The belly numbers match and is a complete 66 motor (cylinders and heads have 66 date code). Engine recently rebuilt. We polished and ball milled the rocker boxes. detailed and installed all new topend gaskets. The Carb is an S&S E. The transmission is an OEM 66 Ratchet Top. It was inspected and new gaskets installed. Shifts good. No issues. The primary is a BDL belt drive unit with OEM inner and an aftermarket panhead style tin outer. Both are powder coated black. The frame is a 79 HD FX with original VIN. We added a hard tail section using 1” seamless tubing and original style cast axle plates. An original 53 frame was used as a template. The neck is unmolested. The frame welds were smoothed and is painted NOT powder coat. The gas tank is a narrowed sportster style with a 2. 2 capacity. The rear fender is a modified knucklehead style front fender. Oil tank is a custom oval unit with battery box. All sheetmetal is new and painted by Blue Moon Kustoms (Candy over sliver flake base) with hand laid gold leaf and pinstriping. Pinstriping is under final coat of clear. New 80 S/S spoke wheels (21” and 16”) with New AVON Speedmaster tires. Four piston calipers front and rear. Seat is by LaRosa with polished S/S springs. Other new parts include: battery. handlebars. risers. grips. taillight. headlight. floorboards. all wiring and hoses. Bike was assembled with new polished stainless or chrome Allen heads. Sissybar was handmade by Hank Young The build was completed in January of this year. Bike has kick and electric start. Starts easy and runs good. Bike has been rode about 100 miles since complete. The bike is currently tagged and insured. Shown at World of Wheels in January. Won 1st in Bobber. Top 5 Bikes. Outstanding engine. Von Hot Rod award for best pinstriping in show (bikes. cars and trucks included) Shown at Nashville Easyriders Show. Won the prestigious John Green award. Was invited to finals in Columbus but weather was terrible that weekend. Bike has had photo shoot completed by Easyriders Magazine for upcoming issue (late summer or fall). No trades.
