1981 Harley FLT Shovelhead "King of the Road"

Selling a real nice bike that I've owned for about 4 years. I do not know its history but it is basically a low-mileage bike that was simply neglected. I traded a 76 FXE for it thinking that I would want a tour bike but i justdo not ride enough anymore. I have included pics of when I first got it and it was black and red. I first put all thewiring and body back together to ride but then decided to change the color and do some mods. I got the bike with an extra faring and bags so I filled the original turn signal holes and used a newer style bag set with external turn signals. I also changed the tank for a later model but willinclude in the sale everything I took off as well as a bin of extra's that came with it: quick-release brackets for the tour pack but not the luggage/tour pack rack some extra cover plates hand grips two sets of faring turn signals air cleaner assembly and all the pieces I took off or replaced. The original carb was exchanged for a new S & S super E. I also put a new set of S & S solid conversion lifters and pushrods brand new tires and tubes braided brake lines up front a new seat and all new gaskets for primary and tubes and other little things that I replaced. The motor has never been taken apart by me. She starts right up and from the little that I have cruised around I can say that she shifts and brakes well. Pulls strong too. I left the radio that came with the bike an old Kraco - kind of nostalgic and it works so…I have had a few Shovels and they are fun and easy to maintain bikesI have tried to describe the bike as best as possible.Thanks for looking and please contact me with any questions you may have on this bike.You will get the running bike with a clear title and all the extra's that I described: faring bags original rear in-bag signals carb and tank.If you're local and would like to check it out drop me a line.
