INTRODUCTIONThe Street Rod is arguably the best handling American-produced Power Cruiser ever made. A mildly-aggressive upright riding position utilizes mid-mount controls instead of traditional cruisers' feet-forward position This provides the rider with more control when cornering. Since the Street Rod is taller than other VRod models it's more roomy and comfortable as it does not squeeze you into a compressed clamshell position. The installed handlebars and risers combine for a relaxed near-upright riding position which substantially reduces weight on your wrists.LIMITED PRODUCTIONThe limited-production Street Rod was only built for the 2006 and 2007 model years. It was the first VRod to have a 5 gallon fuel tank replacing the original 3.7 gallon unit. It is also the last to utilize the better handling 180 rear tire instead of the ultra wide 240. That combined with the reduced rake and additional ground clearance gives this model a 40? lean angle instead of the 29-32? typical of most cruisers. The Street Rod model is easily the best handling of the VRSC family and will periodically startle a sport bike rider.ENGINE AND PERFORMANCEThe Porsche-designed engine generates a healthy 80 ft-lbs of torque and 120 H.P. with plenty of that power on tap at a street legal speeds and beyond. The Revolution v-twin engine has a tremendously flexible RPM range unparalleled by a push-rod engine. The gear ratios are perfectly spaced to take advantage of the broad power band of the Revolution engine. And the Brembo brakes will quickly scrub off any excessive speed should you get carried away.TOURINGTypical fuel range is 150 -180 miles depending on city or highway travel. the counterbalanced engine is very smooth and the bike is rock solid stable at Interstate speeds.Although it's 100 - 200 lbs lighter than many touring and sport-touring machines the VRSCR is still heavy enough to stay planted and not get blown around by semi-trucks or heavy crosswinds. This is helped by the use of staggered 10-spoke rims in place of the disc style used on the original VRSCA and VRSCB models. If you are tired of the uncomfortable riding position of a sport bike this may well be the 'adult' version of a crotch rocket you are looking for.Shipping/Fly'N'RideFly'n'ride:Seller will also assist with airport pickup.
