Before I tell you aboutthe bike let me tell you a littleabout me. This is a new account but I'm NOT new to ebay. My former I.D. was mgib61and I had over 160 transactionswith a 100% positive feedback. Look me up. My old computer shot craps and my passwords for ebay and that email account were saved in it.Since I was no longer able to access either I had no choice but to start over.
Now let's talk about the bike. Up for bids is my 1996 Superglide. I bought this from Black Diamond HD in Marion IL about6 years ago. An older man had owned it since new and it only had 12K on the clock. I added a Wideglide front end a Memphis Shades batwing fairing and black paint by PPG. I then had tail dragger fenders custom built by Badass Glass. Several times I've started to paint the fenders to match but when I mention to someone my plans I've always got the response to leave them as they are. They give the bike a unique look. It draws attention everywhere I go.
Ok my machine is used so it's not flawless. The rear fender is chipped some at the bottom from dragging the pavement sometimes cause that's what tail draggers do. There's a small dent on the right front gas tank and some scratches on the fairing where I dropped it. Yep lost my footing on a gravel lot and down she went. Been riding over 40 years but this kind of thing can still happen. The fuel gauge works fine but the glass is fuzzy to look through. Appears like maybe a protective film that never was removed. It never really aggravated me enough to replace it. The pictures should show everything I've described here.
It will need a back tire before long and the fork seals replaced. I have the seals and oil but my mechanic has not been able to get to me. I doubt that he will before auction end so I will let that all go with the bike.I will throw in a set of chrome control covers and chrome brake reservoir and clutch that I bought and never installed. The bike is also equipped with Ghost Brackets for rear bags.
All in all this is a fine machine. The 80" Evo runs like a champ and is dependable. It goes everywhere the $35K rides go and when the "cookiecutters" are all backed to the curb this is the bike that stands out in the crowd. There's no need to ride rice or a Sporty when you can own this classy big twin for the same price. It's not often that you can actually buy character.
Alright now for the disclaimers. This bike is for local pick up. I may be able to help in deliverly but probably not more than 200 miles. Talk to me about it before bidding. I require a $500 down payment via Paypal within 24 hours of the auction's end. I prefer the remaining payment be made in cash at time of pick up. I will accept personal checks and bank drafts however neither the bike nor the title will be released until payment clears my bank. I will NOT accept the remaining balance being made by Paypal their fees are too high.I guess that covers everything. If you are local and want to come see the bike before bidding you are most welcome to do so.
All questions are welcome. I check my messages a couple or three times a day. Thanks for looking and good luck.
