2008 Harley Davidson Sportster XL1200C. 13735 miles. I bought this bike in 2010 the previous own had laid it down once hence the rebuilt/restored title but this bike has had ZERO mechanical problems in 5 years of ownership. I am only letting it go because I moved to San Francisco and its too expensive to own a bike there. As part of the rebuilt/restored title it does say on the title "odometer reading is not the actual amount of milage warning odometer discrepancy" so if 13735 is not the actual milage then I have no idea what it is but the bike is in basically perfect condition minus the scratched up headlight (only remaining marks from the previous owner laying it down) and some scuffs on the rear bumper (I think someone backed into it while it was parked). The scuffs on the bumper look as if they would buff out but I don't know how to do that. This bike was an 883 when I bought it but I had it converted to a 1200 so it does have new cylinders and pistons. The conversion was done by Rick at Dirty Rat's who has been in business doing conversions for decades. Depending on what you are looking for that would mean it is possibly better than a bike that was purchased as a 1200. Being that it was a 883 it is geared as such. The 883s are geared lower so that in the city they can compete with the 1200s. So after the upgrade you can beat any other Sportster off the starting line. This is definitely a Harley that you could pull wheelies on if you wanted to. But on the flip side on the freeway it sounds pretty wound up so I wouldn't say this is the best freeway bike but is still fine. The bike has about 1500 miles on it since the conversion and currently has a break-in map installed. I was recommended to drive at least 2k miles before having it dyno tuned to the new setup. I prepaid for the dyno key and the dyno tune so if you live in Utah and buy this bike you should be able to get that done for free at the SLC Harley dealer. I am including the dyno key as well which is about a $500 value. So even if you live outside of Utah a dyno tune should only cost you a couple hundred bucks since the key is already included. And if you wanted to change up the pipes or the air cleaner I would recommend waiting until the 2k miles is up and then change your stuff then having the dyno tune done. The tires were replaced at the same time as the 1200 conversion so they also only have about 1500 miles and plenty of life and tread left. They are Harley Davidson brand tires. The oil was changed about 1000 miles ago and has a K&N filter oil filter installed.I would notrecommendchanging the pipes because these are Vance & Hines Shortshots which are the arguably the best pipes you can buy for a Harley. I removed the heat shields and wrapped the pipes for style but if you want heat shields back on I can tell you that when I sold them on eBay they only went for $100-200 so if you watch eBay you should be able to find replacements for about that amount. The air cleaner is a K&N Air Charger and comes with a rain sock. Other upgrades on the bike include a bottle opener on the timer cover and a removable/useable shot glass as the brake light. The seat is leather around the edges but the seating surface is a synthetic material. You are responsible for picking this bike up yourself or having it shipped to you. I will take no responsibility for transportation. If you live near Salt Lake City Utah then you are welcome to come pick it up free of charge.
