2009 Sportster Iron 883. Fuel injected 5-speed.I bought this new in June 2009 and I have been the only one that has riden it outside of the guys at the dealership. I am the original and only owner and I have a clean and clear title in my name.6976 miles on the bike mostly country back roads and byways I've only had it on the interstate a couple times and it was short. Never raced it or beaten it just rode it. I always wait until after the spring showers wash all of the winters salt and grit from the roads before I take it out every season. I've never been the type to go crazy washing and polishing my bikes but I have kept it clean. All the internals on the engine are stock and it hasn't been opened. The original dunlop tires are still on it and they're still in excellent condition. I have changed the pipes they're Rinehart Staggered Duals made by Bub. They are stepped pipes under the heat shields start at 1 3/4 then 1 7/8 then to 2 inch to help retain some bottom end torque that you sometimes see with open drag pipes. I installed what Bub calls quiet baffles which I had custom ordered and Bub had custom made just for me(they were out of stock actually). They are 1 1/2 which I wrapped with Moose muffler fiberglass wrap. They sound great and unlike any other sportster I've heard on the road. The pipes were $900 back when they were selling them. I never touched the air cleaner or reflashed the ECM just pipes. I have also changed the shocks and fork springs. The shocks are Harley air shocks for the bigger touring bikes harley #54662-02a. They're 12" vs the stock 10.5 " which only provided one inch of rear suspension travel ! Not exactly comfortable. No fittings or hoses or compressed air in them I just tried them out of the box and they feel great. The fork springs are Progressive brand springs. They tightened up the front end and took all the sag out of the forks. With the springs and shocks installed it became a different bike. The additional height in the suspension and the added clearance from the higher exhaust pipes allow the bike to lean a lot more and made it easier to ride. The seat is from a 2006 Sportster. The original solo seat had very little padding and it had to go. I had to move the ECM to install this seat but it fit nicely above the battery. The battery is new the original one just gave up this spring. There's a harness installed for plugging up a trickle charger too. I relocated the ignition coil from behind the steering neck to the side of the engine. The key ignition is on that side too. No wires were cut there was enough room to just reroute the harness. I installed a braided stainless front brake hose just because I liked the look. I flipped the mirrors to be able to actually see behind me very common trick. It has Biltwell Kung Fu grips and they're really comfortable. I've changed the engine and primary oil at the end of every season regardless of miles so the dirty and corrosive used oil wouldn't be laying in it all winter. I had fuel stabilizer in it every winter in a full tank of 87 octane ethanol free gas(87 is the only non ethanol gas available here). Once that first tank of gas was ran through it was 93 octane premium gas at every fill up. One of the first things I did to the bike was open up every electrical connector I could get to and put dielectric grease on them to avoid corrosion. Fuses and relays too. It has the stock Harley security system no siren it just keeps the bike from being started unless the key fob is close by just like a lot of cars. I have the original owners manual two keys two key fobs original exhaust. I do not have the original seat or shocks I sold them. This bike needs nothing you can ride it home and keep riding it all season and all you need to do is keep gas in it. The fuel injection makes it easy just start it and go. It's not broken it's not a project it's a motorcycle that's ready to ride. Bike and title will only be released with a clear payment deposit through paypal due within 24 hours of auction end the rest when you pick it up cash preferred. We can work out any other forms of payment when you win it but it will clear before the bike leaves. If you can't pay for it don't bid. If deposit isn't made I will relist it.
