Harley Davidson Shovelhead Bobber.

Shown at Feb/2015 Nashville Easyriders Show. The bike received the prestigious John Green award and was invited to Columbus but weather was terrible that weekend so we did not make it to the finals. Bike will be featured in Easyriders later this year.

Modified 1979 OEM Harley Davidsonframe.We added a hard tail section using seamless tubing and original style cast axle plates. An original 53 frame was used as a template. All welds were smoothed and frame was painted black (NOT powder coated). Rake is stock neck has not modified in anyway and has original VIN.

OEM 1966 HD 74 C.I. “SlabSide” engine with matching belly numbers. Cylinders and heads have 66 date code also. Engine recently rebuilt. We polished and ball milled the rocker boxes detailed and installed all new topend gaskets. The Carb is an S&S E.

The transmission is an OEM 66 Ratchet Top. It was inspected and new gaskets installed. Shifts smooth No issues. The primary is a new BDL belt drive unit with Harley inner and an aftermarket panhead style tin outer. Both are powder coated black finished off with chrome hardware.

New 80 S/S spoke wheels (21” and 16”) withNew AVON Speedmaster tires. New four piston calipers front and rear with polished S/S rotors. Seat is by LaRosa with polished S/S springs. Other new parts include: battery handlebars risers grips taillight headlight floorboards master cylinder exhaust system gas and oil tanks fender Air cleaner front end chain all wiring and hoses. Bike was assembled with new polished stainless or chrome Allen heads.

Hank Young (Young Hot Rods and Choppers) did the frame modifications as well as hand formed the sissy bar. He also wired the bike using old school cloth covered wire.

Blue Moon Kustoms performed paintwork. Candy over sliver flake base with hand laid gold leaf and pinstriping. Pinstriping is under final coat of clear

The build was completed in January of this year. Bike has kick and electric start. Starts easy and runs good. Bike has been rode about 100 miles since complete.
