1972 Electra Glide FLH, classic original, recent full mechanical restoration

I am the second owner from new. I have owned and ridden this for almost 18 trouble free years. During that time I made a few safety upgrades. The first was to replace the original Harley Davidson front disc brake with a model specific aftermarket disc brake system. The original left much to be desired especially in a panic stop situation. Next I installed an S&S Super E carburetor an Accel electronic ignition and Progressive Suspension adjustable rear shocks. The first owner installed a V-Twin primary belt drive. It's essentially bulletproof and so it remains to this day. In the winter of 2013 I contracted to have a complete engine transmission and gearbox rebuild by the Harley specialist shop Milwaukee Iron. This classic can now run another 40 years! I did the breaking in mileage last summer and fall and it ran flawlessly. I bought a new set of Metzlers to complete the restoration. As an option I'm including a pair of Osprey handmade leather saddlebags with quick release hardware (see photos). I didn't get around to painting the tin because it's still in great shape. I'll leave that job to the next owner. I had listed the Electra Glide one other time on eBay but probably had the reserve price up too high. I'm not that highly motivated to sell because I still love the bike and never get tired of looking at it but now I live in the city and my new job hasn't left me much time for riding. Everywhere I go people want to take photos and talk about old bikes. If that sounds like you then here's your chance to own one.
