Aeromacchi SX ST Sprint Harley Davidson 250 1967

AEROMACCHI SS250 1967 250cc motor SS SX ST HARLEY DAVIDSON. BABY HARLEY. THIS IS a the hard to find early production Aeromacchi with a 250 cc motor. SOLD ON BILL OF SALE . No key no title not running and no time to do any work on it. I'm selling it for parts in AS IS CONDTION I obtained this bike from a friend last year with the intentions of restoring it. It had been stored in a shed for years in Georgia then he brought it here to New York. Otherwise I know very little about it The motor is complete and I was able to turn it over with compression. The shift and kick levers are present but now stuck and I can't get it shift through. The clutch cable is popped from bracket which may be causing the problem but I'll leave that to the buyer. Most parts are solid and just need refinishing. Rear and front fenders and both tool boxes are present. Fork is straight and fork tubes nice appear to have compression. The instrument cluster is very nice The key switch is present but no key There is a significant build up of rust on wheel rims spokes and rear shocks and both tires rotted and now need to be replaced Good headlamp shell and headlamp bulb. Fuel tank solid.very little rust. All the cables need replacement. The rear brake cable disconnected ? Has complete electrical coil. Carb and air cleaner. Missing tail lamp and seat Handle bars rusty but controls are present I was told this model should not have a frame csupport cradle and it looks as if someone tried to install one. I guess it can be used or discarded. I'm not sure.Most people love the Aeromacchi and the fact it says Harley on the motor cases I feel this bike looks cool and has a lot of potential. Replace the wheels and tires throw on a seat and tail lamp and she is complete as original. With a little time and money invested it could be possibly worth double my asking price. I'm selling because I'm overloaded with too many projects. This bike is cheap to get into and a good candidate for restoration or even use as a parts donor or racer.
