1971 Harley Davidson Dallas Police Servi-Car Servicar Trike

You are bidding on a 1971 Harley Davidson Servi-Car. This Servi-Car was once in service with the Dallas police department. It was purchased in a surplus auction and taken up to Montreal Canada by the buyer who removed the box and installed some sort of seat. The bike was purchased and restored to it’s present condition a number of years ago and has not really been ridden since.

The speedometer shows 11 miles because the original was stolen when the bike was being serviced for a blown head gasket at a local shop near Carson City. The speedometer was replaced with a reproduction unit. The original speedometer showed about 6K miles.

The seat was stolen at the same time and replaced with a correct unit.

The wheels were replaced as the wheels that came with the bike were wrong for use with a box.

The box is an original HD fiberglass unit installed during the restoration process.

The siren is the original wheel driven police unit and works well.

The bike comes with a winter windshield chalk stick and correct police helmet for the period.

This Servi-Car is in excellent condition as shown in the pictures and runs fine.

This bike was offered last year on eBay but was pulled because winter was coming and I didn’t want to fool with selling it with a bunch of snow around. The bike is stored in in the garage and the pictures show it in it’s current condition.

The winner of the auction should pick the bike up in person and pay for it with cash. That way the buyer can look it over and make sure it is in the stated condition. As an alternative the buyer can pay for the bike by check or wire transfer and arrange for a transportation company to pick up the bike. If paying by check of any kind is to be the buyer’s choice there needs to be a 3 week period after I receive the check for it to clear before the bike is released to anyone. I will not accept PayPal for this sale.

I am going to start this auction at $1.00 with no reserve. This bike is in great condition and is pretty much a collectors dream.

The bike is listed elsewhere and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.

My best advice is to get real bids in early and pay attention. Do not wait and try to snipe this thing as that stuff is not going to fly with me.
