Well I'm sure no expert on Harley Davidsons, ut I acquired this 1978 low rider from a friend of mine who has owned it for over 30 years.Here is what I know... It's prety dirty, nd has sat outside for the last 2 years or so. (what a shame).He bought a new bike so this one was parked into storage. Every few months he would start it up and let it run some. It's been a year or so since it last ran. (last week,even with a low battery, t tried to fire-up).This bike is just as I received it. (it's ugly & dirty). It has the original engine, nd all the numbers match etc.He quit riding it because it needed new brake pads.(He says the bike was running and driving just fine).This bike is 37 years old and I am selling it as-is. I would much rather you plan for the worst and hope for the best then be disappointed in any way.I have a clear and open Colorado title for it as well as the shop manual and some extra parts and pieces. My opening bid is $2,500.00 with no reserve.
This bike could be up and running again in very short order and could be used as a daily rider, r perhaps be a great candidate for a restoration?Now... all of this having been said... I can't imagine finding a more unmolested, r a more original, ow rider Harley FXS like this for the price.It's sure not perfect, nd a bit of a project, ut it will make someone very happy in my opinion.I have tried to take good pictures to show it's overall condition. I only want the buyer to be as excited as I was when it came my way.Terms of sale...I can not ship..... This means I can not crate, ox, isassemble, r deliver to a shipping company. I will however be more than happy to assist your shipper, owever I can.
