I bought this bike from the original owner in 1998 with 19,000 miles on it. It is agood restoration candidate, r ride it as is. It starts right up, uns great, ooks great, and doesn’t leak oil. It is stock and original with the exception of the following performance modifications: Wiseco 9.5:1 compression pistons (standard bore), ndrews “B” grind hydraulic cam & rollers, ew valves, esurfaced seats, ew bronze guides, &S Model “E” Shorty carburetor, evtech oil pump, ?” drag pipes, 2 amp alternator, 4 tooth transmission sprocket, ustom Chrome speedometer & ignition switch. The trunk-mounted wrap-around passenger backrest is from a 1983 FLH.
I kept all the OEM parts I removed from the bike, nd over the years, massed several boxes of used or salvageable year and model-correct parts, oo numerous to list individually. Included is a set of hard to find N.O.S. Harley-Davidson gas tank decals, s well as decals for the saddlebags and handlebar control boxes. Also, HD Service Manual &the original 1979 Harley Davidson Sales Brochure. I intended to do a ground-up restore over the next year, ut health issues put the kibosh on that plan.
Everything works as it should. This is a rare, 6 year old classic that has not been previously restored, utchered, acked or beaten to death. It has minor touch-ups & imperfections and shows normal wear consistent with a well-cared for, ccasionally ridden motorcycle of its age and mileage. Please examine pictures carefully and ask questions before bidding. This is a dependable, oadworthy, ood running older classic with lots of potential for a complete restoration. Sold as is, here is. A $500.00 deposit via Paypal is due immediately at end of auction. Balance due (and vehicle must be picked up) within 7 days of end of auction.
