1967 Harley Davidson Aermacchi Ala Verde

This is a 1967 Aermacchi Harley Davidson Ala Verde ( Green Wing ) 250. This bike comes with 14,886 miles.
The bike is in good running condition, espite being kept indoors on display for years. It has low original mileage. It is a cold natured motorcycle but once warm is runs really well. Paint is a few years old and there are a few retouched chips here and there but overall really nice eye candy.

This particular example came to the U.S. via the Netherlands. Very rare model never imported into the US this was the factory caf? version of the US only Sprint model. I can't say how many of these are in this country but safe to say just a handful have been imported by collectors.What makes this bike even more valuable is the impossible to find factory made CRTT race tank, ifferent from the normal Ala Verde tank in several ways. The cap is in a deeper pocket making the top completely flush and the underside has a large pocket for a racing carburetor with straight intake. Only 100 of these steel tanks were made and this one has been recently epoxy sealed against corrosive alcohol in today’s gasoline. The rear trailing edge of the front fender has a small and not really noticeable crack and tapped out ding from previous owner who stated it was clipped by a falling bike on soft ground parked to close to him. Recently updated new head lamp, t has rare Veglia speedo which is original to the bike. The tires are very nice vintage Pirelli, owever they will need to be replaced.
Speed and handling of this beautiful machine are impressive as is the Aermacchi racing history both past and present in the vintage class.

This bike is sold on bill of sale. It has never been titled in the US. It comes with the Italian import paperwork that can be taken to the BMV.
