We have great deals on our entire new and pre-owned inventory at Ronnie’s Harley-Davidson of Pittsfield Massachusetts. Today we are listing a cool 1981 Harley-Davidson XLH 1000 Sportster with 19018 miles. The reserve is low so don’t miss out on this vintage bike.

The paint and overall appearance of this bike is good. The bike starts right up and goes through the gears with no effort but the carb will need to be cleaned. We just put new plugs in it and ran it up the road. It sounds strong. The brakes also are in working order however we recommend them being serviced and safety checked before putting this bike on the road. The high / low beam headlight functions properly as well. The Dunlop Qualifier tires are period perfect and have good tread but are older and may need to be replaced. The Mustang seat is an aftermarket piece but it looks good and is in good shape. This bike also has custom mirrors, rag Style exhaust and a custom air cleaner. The rider pegs and highway pegs are also custom items. The rear brake light only works with the hand control. The blinkers do light up but they do not blink. The horn is not operational. All of these items will need to be serviced and or replaced.

As with all older vintage bikes the new owner will need to go through each aspect of this bike to make sure it is road ready. Tires, hain, rakes, nd oil leaks should be reviewed. This is a solid bike and a great easy project for someone. The reserve is low and these are getting harder to find so don’t miss out and bid today.
