1961 Harley Davidson XLCH Sportster - NO RESERVE!!! - Clear Title - Runs

This no-reserve auction is for a 1961 XLCH, unning ona professionally rebuilt engine, lear Californiatitle.

Engine has7860 miles on the rebuild. Equipped withAndrews valve springs, &S Super E carb, agneto ignition, ick-start only (no battery), ry clutch (original configuration) with Barnett friction plates. Neck and swingarm bearings replaced with Timken tapered bearings. Dunlop tires, traight drag pipes. Pistons are 0.030 over stock.

Engine is mechanically excellent, uns great, nd DOES NOT DRIP OIL. Bike can be ridden as-is, hough it needs some work - needs paint, orks are over length, egulator for the lights needs to be replaced. Photos and video describethe bikepretty well.

Updates based on questions:

Engine is all original except the cam/gear cover, rive sprocket cover, nd primary cover are from other years. I added a photo of the matchingcase numbers / belly numbers. Front end is off a 1970 Sportster. Bike was last painted in 1979. Rear fender is not original to the bike. Aftermarket parts include: handle bars, rips, isers, irror.

The frame is original to the bike and was shaped and filled by a previous owner. The right hand down tube near the rear motor mount was repaired, rofessionally welded. It's otherwise unmodified from the original 1961 frame. This year was before Sportsters had VIN numbers on the frame. CA DMV required a blue tag be installed on the frame at the time of it's first registration here in 1996. Some fill was removed from the neck for this (no numbers below the fill), ut CHP installed the tag lower down.
