This is a fantastic riding experience. It has more power than you would expect from a Sportster. You will feel the difference if you are used to a typical 1200 model. The gas adjustable forks make for a smoother ride and better handling. The bike is perfectly balanced and you will be very comfortable. The saddle bags are convenient for carrying rain gear and water. I also use them to pick up small items at the hardware store. The front tool bag is there for security. I keep sunscreen, ice grips and a few screwdrivers and a torque wrench in it. The first time I rode her she had 4,750 (roughly) miles. In the tank was stale gas and it clogged up the carburetor. Since that day in June of 2004, have had no mechanical problems with her. The Professional Firefighter I got her from had her sit for about a year after he purchased his Road King. I replaced the original tires and cleaned the carburetor and I've had no issues ever since. For most of the past 11 years I have used Ethanol free gasoline in her. During the winter I run it every couple off weeks and the longest stretch of her being not ridden is only six weeks.
