HARLEY DAVIDSON 1942EL KNUCKLEHEAD MOTOR WITH PAPER - RUNS. This is an original 1942EL Knucklehead Motor with a CLEAR VIRGINIA TITLE. This motor runs great! You can see it running onInstagram (see @allenhell_chop ). It cameout of a running bike that was very mixed up. It has an original front cylinder and an aftermarket rear cylinder. THE BORE IS STANDARD 61 CU IN. The left case has a BELLY # 42-1008 and the right side case has a BELLY #40E-4298. It has an aftermarket auto advance distributor made to look like old original. The only case repairs I see are the two front motor mounts (see pictures). There are no other visible welds or repairs anywhere. The tappet blocks are the correct year 1942-1947. The motor runs great and appears to have been rebuilt not too long ago. We removed the cylinders to check the bore and the condition of the engine. All the cams look to be original. All of what we saw inside looks great. There is one small fin chipped on the rear head lower back area near the exhaust port. See pictures and ask any questions and I willanswer thebest I can. The motor is at 391 Sunset Lake Road in Stanfield, C 28163. For shipping I will take top end off and ship in 2 boxes, PS or FedEx. Top end box will be apx 18" x 13" x 23" and weigh apx 80 pounds. The lower end box will be 15" x 22" x 22" and weigh apx 90 pounds. Or I can package in a large crate and ship motor freight. Add generator, ntake, arburetor to this motor and RIDE!!
