Description

"The StarRider"

Started out life as a 1973 Harley-Davidson Sportster. Now titled as a special construction due to the massive amount of custom work that was done to the bike.

Built in the late 70' and completed in the early 80's by a private owner.builder. Virtually every component was ordered from ther early Arlen Ness catalogs.

I purchased this motorcycle from the original builder/owner and have ridden it very little. It's spent it's days sitting in my home just being admired. Although the original builders intentions where to just have a cool So-Cal Digger bike like he had admired in Easyriders magazine to ride with his lady, t didn't take long for people to notice the beauty and style of the bike. Shortly after the build was completed, tarRider was entered into a local bike show where it won first prize. A few more local place trophies and it was decided that StarRider would be entered into the Chicago Easyriders bike show. Another first place trophy was awarded in Chicago, long with an invitation to tour along with the show...and StarRider went. I'm told many beers where drank and many good times where had while StarRider and her owner went in his custom van from show to show.

I've kept the bike complete per it's original build with the exception of a new set of drag pipes and an upgrade to an S&S carb to help with starting. It's a kick only Sporty with a Magneto ignition and can be tempermental at times as most all old Sportsters are. Kicking these old bikes is not for the faint of heart. I go through the motions to starther upat least once per summer just to keep things fluid and this old custom chopper runs very well. Although not very far as that tank only holds just over a gallon of go-go juice.

I'll let these few pictures show it's best features and answer any questions you may have as an interested bidder as best I can.

This auctions winner will be required to pay for and arrange all shipping. I will work with you to get the bike where it needs to be if you choose to have it shipped. I will not be responsible of packing the bike or pallet straping it shipment so make sure whomever you choose is aware that it's up to them as the shipper to make sure it arrives in the same condition as when it was picked up.

I have Paypal and will except that as the preferred form of payment. I will not take cash or a cashiers check or a bank issued check or any other form of payment. Go to your bank, et the money and send it me via Paypal. Once I have verified it's all there in full I will send you the signed title and wait for instructions on when the bike will be picked up.

Thanks and happy bidding...
