1974 Harley Davidson Shovelhead

I am selling this bike for a friend that I have sold multiple vintage Harley's for.   She and her husband owned a motorcycle shop for 20 years in the Dallas area and each bike sold was meticulously maintained by her husband and later. by her shop mechanic Steve. after her husband passed away.   Steve can answer any questions regarding this bike.   Please feel free to ask any questions about the motorcycle that you may have and I will forward them on to Carol/Steve.   If you include phone number. they can call you back or I can respond via email once I receive their response.  

This 1974 Harley Davidson Shovelhead is in pristine condition. has low mileage. and is now considered a Classic.   While the exact mileage is unknown at this time. it has not been ridden in 4 years and we know that the mileage was kept low and reasonable. as Carol was the only owner and rider of the bike.  The bike was built for her by her deceased husband. who owned a motorcycle shop.   It has a very strong running engine but she is not sure about any engine modifications that may have been made by her husband.

Externally. it has dual plug heads and an S&S Carb. It also has Single fire ignition. 2 in 1 Drag pipes. and forward controls.   The reliable chain primary was retained.   The bike has new handlebars. was recently tuned up by Steve. nbsp;and had a full maintenance performed.   A new seat will replace the custom seat that was modified for Carol to reach the controls. unless the buyer would like to retain the shorter seat height.

Title is free and clear and in hand.   The VIN on the Title matches the frame and engine.

This bike is in pristine condition and is being priced reasonably below other 74 Shovelheads for a quick sale.   A $500 non-refundable PayPal deposit is required within 24 hours of the end of the auction.   The remaining payment is due in full via Cashier's Check within 7 days of the end of the auction.

On Aug-24-14 at 20:57:19 PDT. seller added the following information:

The seller just notified me that when this bike was made. VIN stamps were only placed on the engine and not on the frame.   I inadvertently stated that it was on both.   The VIN on the title does match the VIN number stamped on the engine and. as noted. there is not a VIN stamp on the frame. as was customary when this bike was manufactured.
