The new style frame that started with the ’09 FLH line, s based on a single-spar, igid backbone frame that supports an increase in load capacity of 70 pounds over the previous unit. This allows for a five pound increase in each saddlebag and the redesigned swingarm contributes significantly to the overall system and vastly improved handling from the older Big Twins (before 2009). The engine-isolation system was also revised to reduce engine and vehicle vibrations at idle speed.
