This is gonna hurt. Planned to have this forever, ut situations change. Let's get to it.
Do yourself a favor and take the few minutes it will take to read this. It'll be worth it. I promise.
What it is:An extremely well designed, ridiculously pampered, eavily (but tastefully) customized 2007 Street Glide street/show bike with just over 4600 miles that is absolutely flawless and has well over $30,000.00 in it. You can buy a newer but annoyingly "vanilla" Street Glide for more money (a rock stock Street Glide Special is $22,899.00 plus tax, ag, nd freight), r you can have the nicest Street Glide wherever you go for thousands less than the new stock one and well over $10,000 less than it cost to create it. I'm the kind of guy that waxes the BACK side of his saddlebags and even the rear shocks, o when I say the bike is "immaculate", 'm probably understating it. If it showed 100 miles on the odometer you wouldn't question it. I'm a 55 year old guy and I take insanely good care of my stuff.
What it isn't:Another "dime a dozen" essentially stock Street Glide with a 21" front wheel, ome pipes, nd little else that there are 50 of everywhere you go. Don't get me wrong - I like 'em just fine - what I don't like - REALLY don't like - is pulling up next to another Harley at a stop light that looks just like mine. THAT makes me particularly crazy.
Truth is if you're lookin' for a "trendy" Street Glide with the same stuff everybody else has, ou'll probably wanna keep lookin'. This bike was thoughtfully and intentionally designed to be "timeless" - something that won't go out of style when the next "fad" comes along. It was also a high priority to make it look so "right" that it could've come this way from Harley - from the feedback I've gotten over the years, succeeded at what I set out to do. Yay me.
A quick "back story":I "built" this Street Glide when my dad passed away back in the late spring of '07 - time went by and I couldn't shake the sadness so I decided I needed somethin' to obsess over. Went down to the local HD dealer, icked out a brand new Street Glide, nd the rest, s they say, s history. I've had a LOT of cool custom bikes over the years, ut since it was my specific intention to keep this one forever, approached it with a "no expense spared, est of everything, don't care what it costs" mentality. I spent weeks thinking through the design to achieve the desired "look" - kinda old school / new school / gangster but with an exaggerated attention to detail. Countless hours combing through high end catalogs later, arefully choosing every single custom item to work together to create the precise "attitude" I was after, handed them a list several pages long and told 'em to call me when it was done. All work was performed by the Harley dealer before I picked up the bike, nd when it was complete, any of the guys in the Service Department there were kind enough to come over to me and let me know they thought it was simply the nicest Street Glide they had ever seen. Mission accomplished.
You really have to park it next to a stock Street Glide to fully appreciate just how much was done to this bike - I upgraded EVERYTHING from the whole front end (ordered all new black powder coated front end components from HD) to the wheels and tires (factory HD chromed aluminum "Profile" laced wheels with custom black HD rotors and HD logo/script whitewall Dunlops) to the exhaust (Thrush Mufflers with HD Screamin' Eagle Fishtail End Caps) to ALL of the lighting (added a custom HD Tri-Bar headlight and passing lamps with custom HD bezels up front, smoked LED tail light, ED saddlebag lid spoilers, nd smoked LED turn signals all around) and virtually everything in between. $8,102.00 worth of stuff was added to the bike before I ever picked it up. Much more since then, ncluding most recently a factory Vivid Black HD Razor Pack with all the detachable hardware ($1200+ not including labor) that I added earlier this year. I've got the work orders and receipts in front of me but I'm not gonna type it all out - there are nearly 80 line items and expecting you to read all that is probably unrealistic. I'll give them to whomever ends up with the bike.
Just look carefully at the pictures - everything, nd I mean EVERYTHING, as been thoughtfully upgraded. It's got both an HD Brawler solo seat and an HD Sundowner "two up" seat. It's got an HD backrest with the quick detachable docking hardware. It's got the new Razor Pak w/lock and quick detachable docking hardware so you can go from sinister solo Boulevard Cruiser to full Touring bike in 2 minutes. Chrome starter and solenoid covers, ustom timing and derby covers, xtended girder shifter arms and linkage, ustom limited edition hand painted HD horn cover, urved license plate mount, ootboard extensions, lack highway bars, uel door and button, ear shocks, so Grips with Stilletto end caps and throttle boss, lack levers, hrome speaker grill accents, tilletto headbolt and rocker box bolt covers, parkplug covers and on and on and on - you name it, did it. Like I said, t was my intention to keep it forever, o cost was not a concern. I just wanted it "right".
And it is. It's won several local shows and gets tons of attention and compliments every time I take it out of the garage.
No point in boring you with the details. I've retired and my situation has changed, o I need to find it (and a couple of my other babies) a new home.
Somebody's gonna get a spectacular, ssentially new - heck - BETTER than new Street Glide at a stupid price. Maybe you.
My name is Bill, nd my number is 352 209 4100. Feel free to call or email with any questions. I'd be happy to answer 'em. All I ask is that you don't call me at ridiculous hours. Thanks in advance.
You're welcome to come see it in person if you'd like. Just call me and we'll make arrangements. I can say with absolute certainty that the first person to see this bike will buy it. I will be advertising it locally so I reserve the right to cancel the auction at anytime unless there are bids on it.
Make it a point to check my feedback as a seller. I'm one of the good guys. I have really cool stuff, nd I represent it accurately. I've been using ebay to find new homes for my toys (my Viper, y NSX, y modified Mini Cooper S, everal hot rods and numerous bikes along with performance stuff etc.) for 15 years now, o feel free to check me out. It will help you feel completely confident that you've found the right guy to buy stuff from. I'm a lunatic when it comes to my toys.
Good luck and happy bidding.
