Up for sale is my 1996 Springer Softail. It was bone stock when I purchased it. I have done all the modifications and upgrades. Only the best people known in the business in South Florida (bike now located in Tennessee) have worked on my bike. I quit counting the receipt when I hit $20,000.
The bike has 10,947 miles and I replaced the speedo and odometer last year at 10,497 miles The new odo reads 494 miles. At the present time, he speedo and odo is acting up and I haven’t had the time to fix it. I’ve cleared the transmission pick and it still goes haywire so I figure it’s the wiring. The title reads “odometer exempt” The turn signals do not work because the badlander box went bad. I removed the horn. I rarely ride the bike since my Son was born and we are building a house so I need the money.
Engine:
This is the original 1340cc Evo motor and transmission. There are 10.5:1 pistons, he heads have been worked to the max by Timothy Woods of Wildwood Cylinder head (formerly out of Pompano Beach), t has a big cam with dual Mikunis carburetors hanging off the side. It has an adjustable high output ignition. The last dyno produced 99 hp at the rear wheel. The motor has been fully polished, rank case, eads, tc. Chrome manifold. Chrome inner & outer primary. The starter is polish. The fuel lines are all braided lines which match the color of the bike. The entire engine and all brackets are polished and/or chromed.
There have been three main people who have built or maintained this bike. Wildwood Cylinder head, on Ransom of Aces and Eights, nd ‘Chicago Bob’. The engine was rebuilt from the bottom up by ‘Chicago Bob’ (Margate, l.) 2010. It has less than 250 miles on it since he rebuilt it.
Handlebars,
One piece stainless steel handle bars with 12” risers, ustom made by Lynn Wolfter (Pompano Beach) Ness Chrome ball-milled hand controls and braided lines. The ball milled mirrors are from Thunder Cycle (Fort Lauderdale) and match the ball milled theme on the rest of the bike, i.e. 3” forward controls, lutch inspection cover, rake calipers. etc.
Wheels & tires:
RC Comp with match pulley and rotors
Metzler tires 180 rear
Chrome swing arm
Chrome fender struts (the tops show signs of discoloration)
