Rare, are Pre-War 1932 Harley Davidson VL74 Flathead. Prior to 1932, arley Davidson was Enjoying Increased Sales of Motorcycles. Then the Late 1920s/ Early 1930s Felt the Cold of the Great Depression. With Almost 33% of Americans Unemployed, nd Much Lower Consumer Spending, 932 was One of the Lowest Production Years Harley Davidsons Were Made. In Fact, he Great Depression Almost Put Harley Out of Business. Then World War 2 Got on Its Way and Young Servicemen Were Called to Duty. Again, ales Were Slow as America's Priority was Fighting a War. In 2006, Acquired This Pre-War Harley From a Relative of the Second Owner. As the Story was Told to Me, he Second Owner Bought the Motorcycle in the Mid 1930's in Kansas(Bought it in Wichita, ut Lived in Colby) and Road it Regularly Till the Late 1940s. It Was Then Stored in a Wood Shed From the Late 1940s Till 2003 When the Owner Passed Away. Probate and Family Issues Tied Up the Harley and Numerous OtherPossessionsof the Late Owner Till the Fall of 2006. In Late November, Bought It and Hadthe Motorcycle Shipped From Kansas to Southern California. My Intentions Were to Fully Restore the Pre-War Harley and Have It Resemble Itself Back to When It was New in the 1930s. I Wanted to Perform a FullRestorationon This Motorcycle Because It was Never Rusted, odified, ut Up, r Welded On.Health Issues and OtherFinancialPrioritiesTook Me as Far to the Where Pictures Show Today. After It wasDisassembled, he Frame, as/Oil Tanks Were Bead Blasted and PaintedCadillac Pearl White. The Original 1932 Motor/Transmissionwas Stripped Down, leaned and Inspected. The Transmission Was Rebuilt in 2013. The Springer Front End Since the Pictures Were Taken Has Been Powder Coated. This Harley Needs to Be Assembled and Put on the Street Again!! This is 100% American Steel!! When They Use to Make Things Right!! Start and Enjoy This Fall/Winter Project Now So It Will Be Ready to Cruise in the Spring/Summer!! If Your Serious About Adding a Rare Rare Pre-War 1932 Harley to YourStable, ot Seriously Considering This Example, ould Be a Missed Opportunity!!
