This is a true 1 owner 1971 FX Superglide Boattail Night Train in that famousRed White & Blue paint known as Sparkling America. This was designed by Willie G Davidson and known to be the first factory custom motorcycle that changed the world of motorcycles avery rare bike as they only made just 4700 in 1971 and 1972 the famous boattail was a option only. This bike is a repaint but looks nice and it is the factory color there are a few parts that are not original but its as close as you can get for a unrestored bike. This boattail runs awesome shifts rides as it should. Starts in 3 kicks cold 18 if someone is watching. The seat ripped on me and is mended with tape but even like that it won Best In Class at The 75Th Black Hills Rally Indian Motorcycle & Classic American Iron Show in Sturgis South Dakota this year.This bike will come with the Original Tennessee Title issued in 1971 and estate letter along with a bill of sale from me. I bought this this bike last year at a estate sale and have not retitled it. I rode this bike in the famous Black Hills of SouthDakota and it gets a lot of attention everywhere it goes. Its not very often you see a Boattail and very rare to see someone actually riding one. I do recommend some tires if you plan I riding it much the last registration sticker is from 2004 and I amsure the tires are much older. The seat as I have alreadysaid is torn . The header pipe is not the original the speedometer works but does bounce around some and looks like it has been apart at one time so I will say miles are truly unknown. It also looks like some motor work has been doneI am not sure but the jugs are painted black and that is not factory . I replaced the pointsand spark plugs cleaned the carburetor Replaced the battery changed the fluids and it does run great . Themotor cases match and they match the frame number as well it has the factory key switch with keys and really the only thing I can remember that it need to be 100% is mirrors a horn that header pipe and muffler and of course a restoration to make itperfect . I love this old bike and it has been fun to have butI have to sell it before I get anymore attached and do a full resto and really upset my wife so here we go thanks for looking and happy bidding and bid to winthe sale will go through EBAY only and all funds must clear my bank before the bike will be shipped
