1933Harley Davidson VLD Special Sport Solo After the rise and passing of Harley Davidson's famous J Models, 1915 to 1929) Harley came out in 1930 with the new side valve motor design for their 45ci models as well as their big twin line up. In 1933, arley introduced their very beautiful paint schemes and gone was their tried and true olive drab or other monotone paint color with a pinstripe or two to accent theirmodels. This nearly perfect 1933 74ci. beauty has been adorned with their mandarin red and black paint scheme with the Phoenix or Eagle design on the side of the gas tanks and beautifully hand laid gold pin striping. Judged by the AMCA through the Junior and Senior First classes, his bike has earned it's place in the winner circlewhile being scored in the very high nineties on a scale of one hundred.This motorcycle has been restored inside and out with professional attention to detail on every nut, olt and any other part that was installed back on the bike. The motor and transwas handed offto Jim Trochet for a no expense spared complete mechanical rebuild with many other parts and work coming from Steve Slocombe. Every subcomponent such as wheel hubs, ront forks, eat post, peedometer, ou name it has been fully rebuilt.In my many years in this industry, ery seldomhave I seen such a perfect motorcycle. Excellent runner and ready for any show or would be an excellent to any high class museum or private collection.of the the FIVA trophy or the "Best Preserved Motorcycle" at the 2013 Quail Motorcycle Gathering. Ex-Bud Ekins (owned for 10 years, nd have hand signed letters from him for provenance), nd 20th Century Fox before that. Sold at Kirk White's 1971 Collector Car Auction (have all associated paperwork, atalog & documents) It was featured in a 1971 movie with Keith Carradine riding it (have press kit)
