Description

Well- if you have been in our shop then you have seen this machine- it is a very rare and hard to come by right off of the race track XR750- Harleys most dominating bike on the flat track and ridden by the top riders in the sport. This particular bike was raced all overby nationally ranked rider Mark Heinemannback in the80's along with Jeff Joyner and then won a junior national title. ( I think 83 or 84). I do not know the full or complete history of this bike, do know it was built by race tuner John Ward (the original builder of the very first XR1000 in 1979- yes before Harley introduced it in 1983, oe Robison and John Ward built one). This bike is the REAL DEAL and has a few ONE year only parts on it-it was sent down from the Harley Davidson Factory in 1980 along with a matching one that is still around today, t has Tedd Henter Ignition, ftermarket exhaust, pgraded shocks and has had some head work done by the toprace tuners at the time along with Race Factory team Captain Dick o'Brien who used to come work in our shop and do some head work on our bench during the event. Also Walt Faulk who worked in our shop in the 60's before going to work for Harley Davidson in their racing division. I can go on and on about the history of our shop, he racing that we won and the bikes that we have built, ut this is about this amazing XR750 right off of the race track. It has Marks national number on it to this day and has never been made available to the public-I have removed the reserve, orrected some mistakes I made as some of the original racers called me andgave me new information on this bike.I will not end it early- you can watch all you want, ut you have to bid to win. If you have any questions please feel free to ask before bidding and if you are a true XR750 enthusiast DONT LET THIS ONE GET AWAY!!! GOOD LUCK! NO TITLE-THERE ARE NO NUMBERS ON THIS ENGINE EXCPET WHAT YOU SEE- NO CASE NUMBERS-RARE!!!!- BOS ONLY, as the first year of aluminum heads for the XR's. I had made some mistakes on my original listing and have corrected them the best I can, f you need any information please feel free to ask- NO RESERVE- THIS BIKE WILL SELL TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER!!!!! Please see the last 2 pictures for both sides of the engine cases- the right side has a C or G but nothing else- RARE!!! Also the bike has not run in many years as it has been on our showroom for many years, do not know the last time it was raced but it ran strong when it was parked and displayed. Thanks for looking.

This is one of the last years when Harley Davidson assembled the bikes and then sent them to the dealerships, fter this they had to be sent in a box and assembled at the shop they where sent to. This bike has more history and character than your "average" XR750- tuned and sponsored by the legendary Joe Robison of Robison Harley Davidson from 1962 to 1993, efore that he raced board tracks with his brother when the owned and operated Warren Harley Davidson in the 50's. Race tuner and the very first XR1000 builder John Ward did the heads and tuning on the trackside. These names in the Harley Davidson industry during this time and even now by the true racers of the sport are legendary and really help bring Harley Davidson and Daytona and put them on the map. If you are in the area please feel free to stop and let us show you around the oldest most unique shop in Daytona and other very RARE Harley Davidsons in our collection.
