The time has come to part with our custom trike!
Purchased new from J&L Harley Davidson (Sioux Falls, D), he trike was immediately delivered to Twisted Choppers (Tea, D) for a hand-formed steel rear deck. Inspired by a '32 Ford roadster, he new sheetmetal sits low, ith a billet aluminum exhaust and taillight bezel machinedin-houseat Dakota Digital. The new deck features a rumble seat style trunk that is opened with a Dakota Digital LACT linear actuator and controlled by a CMD-X remote system. Out of sight and also controlled with the remote is a second linear actuator to operate the emergency/parking brake. a lighted Dakota Digital license plate frame has been frenched in as well.Custom steel fenders tuck 18" Ride Wright 'Fat Daddy' 50 spoke wheels, hile a matching 21" wheel rides up front under a Fat Baggers Inc. front fender.The stock outer fairing boasts a Klock Werks Flarewindshield while a Hell's Foundry soft inner dash surrounds Dakota Digital MVX-8604 plug-in gauges.Handlebars are Klock Werks ERGO bars fitted with Jaybrake Ultra Black grips and hand controls. Also on the bars are the controls for the rear air suspension controls and Pingel electric shifter. Wicked Image black anodized fairing mirrors too.Russ Wernimont Designs 20" wide gas tank (3" stretch) houses a Drag Specialties gas cap buts up to an Explorer Touring seat from Saddlemen. The rearsuspensionhas been updated with Legend's LTR108 series kit. The air cleaner is from Performance Machine (Super Gas) and a custom made Dakota Digital horn cover was machined to match. Carl Brouhard Designs floorboards and foot controls.Paint and body was handled by Smitty's Custom Painting (Tea, D).
See photos for current condition of trike; there are a few scratches on the tank. All work performed 2010-11. The trike has served as a booth vehicle at both indoor and outdoor events and has very low miles. It is completely rideable and guaranteed to be the only one like it!
