Rare 1928 Harley Model BA Peashooter Single 350cc Motorcycle Original Paint B

Selling some of my projects to fund others. This is a RARE 1928 harley-Davidson Model BA 350cc single cylinder, hree speed, hain drive Cut-Down motorcycle, ith original paint, egit numbers, amp; clear Florida title. Harley-Davidson only produced 639 BA models in 1928, ost of which were built for export. The OHV peashooters were introduced by Harley-Davidson to compete in the AMA's new 21-inch racing class in 1925, ith roller tappets & special Ricardo head and cylinder, hich bumped horsepower from 8 to 12. Have had this for a long while- bike was supposed to be a keeper, ut I simply have too many other projects that need my attention. The engine case belly numbers do not match. Engine needs pinion gear, ut everything else is there. The generator produces over six volts, nd the cil produces spark at the breaker points. The front cam gear is rough, ut usable. Piston is new, 0.010", EM cylinder bore is standard bore with no damage or scoring. OEM Cylinder head is in great shape. Pushrods are reproduction, oller tappets are from a 45-incher. Connecting rod is Ford. Bottom end is good and tight. Gearbox & clutch look to be complete and good. I'm looking, think I have the shifter linkage for this, nd possibly the clutch release linkage. If I do, hey go with the auction. Frame and fork are in good condition, here is a frame patch repair on the upper right rear fork. Original paint is still visible beneath the years of age and other paint. Original H-D bird logo is still on the tanks. Tanks will need some work- specifically patching on the underside- but they are all there. Rear fender is, think, front fender sitting on rear struts. Tail light is OEM H-D. Handlebars are OEM re-bends. Wheels are 18-inch Kelsey-Hayes with new Coker diamond treads. Rear wheel and brake are Peashooter, ront wheel is Harley VL. I installed sealed bearings in the VL hub. If you want to bid but don't want the front wheel, will discount $200 and keep it. I have the dash base, ut no dash cover. I have a seat bracket for it also, ut no seat or spring post. I'd get the engine running for auction winner for an agreed-upon fee. There's not much to it with this one. It's a solid bike, ith the right patina and look. My Reserve is Low.
