14,000 MIle Florida FXRS Lowrider Custom

I’m reluctantly selling my beautiful 1989 FXRS Lowrider.I really don’t want to part with it, ut I’m out of room and I just don’t ride it. IntheeightyearsthatI’veowned it I’veonlyput about 2500 miles on it and less than 100 in the past year. I’m the second owner of this 14,000 mileoriginal paintFlorida bike.Thefirstowner was a close friend who passed away in a boating accident. This bike was his pride and joy and his widow couldn’t bring herself to sell it to a stranger.I’ve done some customization, ll of which is bolt-on and can easily be undone should the new owner wish to bring it back to stockappearance. I’ve kept all of the original parts and they will be included in the salealong with some extras.I wanted to give thebike a60’s chopper style stance andI was able to achievethiswithout making any modificationsto the frame, hich is the heart of the FXR and is responsible for its superiorride andhandling.I’ve added a Wide Glide front end with 2” over tubes and chrome lowers andtripletrees,Wide Glidefrontfender, 0 spoke wheels (21” front, 6” rear), hromehandcontrols, witch gearand master cylinder, pgradedtwo pistonfront caliper, uper widefat1 ? “ beach barswith late modelfatrisers, orward foot controls, ePera bare bones solo seat, moked turn signal lenses, horter FLH shrouded shocks, rag pipes (sounds incredible) as well as quite a bit of chrome.

My friendhadthe dealer install a Screamin’ Eagle cam, am Jet intake and Mikuni Carb. I don’t know the specs on the cam butthe bike has a great sounding lopey idle(see video)and it pulls like a locomotive.This is the fastest EvothatI’ve ever ridden and others who have ridden it have saidthe same.I’m not a fan of Mikunis so I installed a late model HarleyTwin CamCV carb andovalair cleaner assembly along with the stock intake andthe bikeruns great. The Mikuni carb kit, am Jet intake and the original butterfly carb will be include in the sale(1989 was the last year for the butterfly carb).The bikeis very responsive with the CV carb. Itruns, ides and sounds awesomeand has greatretrolines.This bike isin great shape and has never been down.It’s been meticulously maintained by both owners.Although it hasbeen garaged since new and hasnever spent a night outdoors, live across the street from the beach sosome of the chromedoes show minor pittingfrom the salt airandthere aresomesmallchips in the painthere and there. That said,it does notlook like a 27 year old bikethat’s three years away from being an antique.TheDunlop rear and Avon front white wall tires arelike newwith about500 miles,I’ve rebuiltboth brake calipers andinstallednew brake pads, ll cables andthefront brake line are new, ew K&N air filter,newignition coil, ires and spark plugs,thebattery is newandall the fluids and oil filter are fresh.

The FXR is known to be the best handling big twin that Harley ever made. The model was only produced from 1982 to 1993 andEric Buell was part of thedesign team.TheFXR has gained cult statusandthey’vebecome highly sought after.FXR owners are passionate about their bikes and don’t typically part with them.Thisbikeis an example of alow mileage, riginal paint Florida motorcycle.Ifyou’re looking for a bike that stands out inthe seaof new,financedHarleys,for a fraction of the cost, ere’syour chance.For more info on the FXR check out this YouTubevideo.I’ve also posted a few videos of the bike running and a cold start up.
