I am not BY ANY MEANS an expert on these bike, ,, ut I will be glad to post any comments which may help potential; buyers better understand what they are gettin, ,,,,,
I picked this up in a deal locally, t had not been running in many year, flushed out the tank as well as possible and sealed it to stabilize the rus, removed Carb cleaned installed new viton tipped needle and all gasket, hile the tank was off I went ahead and painted it and installed decal, lacquer with 6 coats clear) Installed a new battery and fired it up... runs good but the new owner may need to tinker with the carb as it seems at times to bogg a littl, think maybe the carb needs fine tunin, tarts and runs great setting ...THE BAD : the key switch is "punched' so about anything will turn it o, have a somewhat "generic' key I use the wheels are really pitte, wire brushed them and cleared to keep from re-rusting the taillight bracket is in good shape but no taillight no turn signals seat cover is a new one but must be for a different model or not installed righ, ,,, nbsp; I had to "home make" a throttle cable as the original dual cable (throttle / oil pump) was ba, have just been mixing oil in gas fuel cap needs replaced someone "vented" with a drill bit needs headlight bulb only hi beam works THE GOOD: mostly all there and would be a great 100% restoration project tank fenders frame etc in really pretty good shape speedo was working when I got i, ,, hows 458 miles I kind of think its correct but of course no guarantee of that the fella I got it from had got it years ago at abike swap mee, do have a title but it is in (as it was from the guy I got it from) state of PA clear title so I listed it as clear as I did not intend to keep it no reason tto put in my name here in this State.
I have too many projects and I cant get to this one YOU CANT KEEP EM' ALL...according to the mrs... anyway
while I believe this bike to be in pretty decent overall condition THERE IS NO GUARANTEES and since I am not guaranteeing the price certainly reflects that
