"As is" sale, o warranties expressed or implied. Runs great, eal quick, nd owner. This was the first Harley I bought in 1976, ow need to sell it. I haven't ridden it much since the early 90's. In the 80's the engine and trans were rebuilt and the cylinders bored 010 over, ots of metal remaining. The transmission was in excellent condition, ut the back wall of the transmission was reinforced anyway with about an inch of aluminum since this area has a reputation for weakness. Work was done by Performance Machine Engineering in Santa Cruz, A. Clutch & primary chain were replaced. Sprocket cover dowels were removed to save the case if the chain ever broke (it never did). 16" rear rim was matched with a freeway front sprocket. Aftermarket wide rear fender is held with FX fender supports flipped upside down to get it lower. The front end is 1976 including the trees (so it stops), nd the Tillotson carb was replaced with a Bendix for the accelerator pump. The original owner ordered it from Harley with the kidney oil bag instead of the horseshoe because he wanted the tool box on the left side. The spark is straight from the mag and the lights are wired directly to the regulator (6V Bosch) so there's no battery. There are some chips in the paint and it hasn't had thorough cleaning & polishing in years. The seat has a couple of splits on the sides. The front spokes have surface rust, he rear are stainless. The chain guard has a crack and will need repair or replacement. Small oil leak at the primary cover but nothing out of the ordinary. Registered through July.
