Description

Up for Auction is one 1994 Sportster. It started life as a low mileage 883. It is now a mild custom with style and performance modifications. The motor is heavily modified, razy fast and a whole lot of fun. The bike has made a few long trips (thus the sissy bar), ut it is set up for around town, ack country roads and blasting from point A to point B. The bike has been on the road for about 5 years and was refreshed this winter. There are no issues that need to be addressed. Just push the button and go. It belongs to a customer who has too many projects. Something has to go and this doesn't offer a great deal of comfort for passengers.
Engine: 1200 jugs with Wiseco 9.5:1 pistons. Runs great on cheap gas, ever knocks or pings even under hard acceleration. The heads are dual plug Sportster Sport that have been mildly flowed and ported. The matching ignition is an early Screaming Eagle that fits neatly under the points cover. It has a more aggressive ignition curve and higher rev limiter. Cams are Andrews N8. Carburetor is a Mikuni 42mm. Cam cover has been cut down to allow the exhaust to tuck in neatly. The pipes are custom built, hort and unbaffled. The motor has a real punch and you can definitely hear it coming.
Chassis: The frame has had a few minor modifications such as removing brackets and tabs that were no longer needed. The frame geometry is as it came from the factory. Steering and suspension is OEM Hugger with a bit more pre-load on the shocks for handling. Pipes, ontrols and brackets were all modified to allow for cornering. There is plenty of ground clearance even with the lower stance. The mids are comfortable around town, ut a little cramped on longer trips.
Sheet metal: All of the sheetmetal has been heavily modified as well. The stock fuel tank was narrowed and the tunnel lowered. The fuel capacity is about the same, t's just a much slimmer look. The oil tank is a one off built for this frame. the battery sits inside of the tank. The rear fender is a front fender off of a fatboy that has been severely cut down. The handlebars are 13" and very narrow. The riser is an early sportster clamp. The sissy bar is easily removed for around town riding. All paint is less than 8 weeks old.
Electrical: minimal, ome built harness does everything that you need and nothing that you don't. The headlight is blinding and the LED stop lamp on the side mount plate, s small but highly effective. The battery was recently replaced and is readily available aftermarket size. It has plenty of cold cranking amps. The small size has never been an issue.
Brakes/Controls: both off of jap bikes, odified to work in this application. Oem front and rears calipers respond much better under orders from improved master cylinders. The rear master cylinder has been relocated with new adjustable controls. The front brake lever is adjustable along with the clutch lever. Cables and brake lines were replaced when the bike was built a few years back.

Check my other auctions. I bought a bunch of performance parts from a friend of mine. He had been collecting parts for years for a killer FXR that he is no longer going to build. Engine parts, ody parts, heels, hubs etc.
