1996 harley davidson softail heritage nostalgia

I'm listing my 1996 nostalgia because another project has taken priority.There has been a ton of work done to the bike. I havereceiptsfor the engine work.

Engine:

200-040 big bore cylinder kit $978.95, nbsp;S&S HD rod set $377.95, Jims big axle tappets $335.80, EVL-3030 cam EV-51 cams $181.95, tage 1 head port $450.00 and polished manifold. a list of other small items also. plus it has an Mikuni carb. it pulls hard through all the gears.

the tins have all the original paint and only has light scratches from normal use, t does have almost 30k miles and isn't a trailer queen/ show bike. but it still gets compliments everywhere I ride. The miles will go up slightly as weather permits.

Tons of chrome:

chrome front forks and rear trailing arm, ot covers. chrome frame covers. chrome brake rotor covers front and rear for that drum brake vintage look. chubby bars. chrome grips and controls. highway bar with foot pegs. chrome caliper covers, ront and rear. braided stainless clutch and brake cables. I know I'm leaving something off..

RIMS are 60 spoke on the front and 80 spoke on the rear. rims and tires only have a few hundred miles on them. front rim is 3.25" wide,NOT the skinny cheap ones some people put on. also has burly slam springs on the front to offset the 21" front wheel.

included in the sale also is the saddle bags, ind screen and 2 different seats"see photos" stock seat can be a solo seat plus I have a low rider seat.

I would prefer not taking paypal because the fees have become outrageous. I will take the $500 deposit with paypal but may work out some other form of payment for the balance. Or if persistent on using paypal the buyer pays paypal fees .

may need a new starter drive gear in its future. every now and then it grinds. this is most likely because of the big bore kit and extra compression. starts every time and this is a know issue. the part is under $75. research it, ot hard to find information. I just wanted to disclose this but as I said, t only happens every so often. has not been a big enough issue for me to replace yet.

UPDATE!!! for all you tall people. if the reserve is met, will include the kuryakyn forward controls with 3" extensions. The gentleman I purchased the bike from was 6'2" and I couldn't reach, o I put floorboards back on it. I also like the olds school look of the floorboards. The Kuryakyn set up sells for about $1,000. I will throw them in on the sale of the motorcycle.

i have also found some other items i am throwing into the sale of my harley. I have a genuine harley davidson bike cover. also a travel pack that slips over the passenger back rest. the last item is a replacement exhaust pipe because one of the pipes on the bike has some discoloration. the extra pipe is new.
There were some other 1996 heritages on ebay with reserves at $12,000 and $14,000, nbsp;My heritage reserve price is well below the others and mine has a lot more items included.
