This spectacular Harley-Davidson FXWG has just 62 Miles since restoration.*.
According to our information the engine and transmission were rebuilt by Glen Lenz at Iron Works.
Driven just 62 break-in miles then stored in a Midwestern museum.
The FXWG is a very limited production bike manufactured for just 2 years(this example first year 1980).
The only Harley ‘factory custom’ available with flame paint and numerous other options(see below).

A bit of general background on the model and some of its factory features:
Harley had introduced the idea of the "factory custom" back in 1971 with the FX Super Glide, ut went one step further when it brought out the 1980 FXWG Wide Glide.
This bike truly had a chopper appearance, ith a flamed Fat Bob fuel tank, ide fork tubes, amp; 21-inch spoked front wheel.
Flamed fuel tank came standard from the factory on the FXWG. As well as stepped saddle, orward-mounted brake and shift pedals,bucket-style headlight, ull-back handlebars, nd bobbed rear fender completed the look.Original spec Seat height was 26-1/4in

- Special Black paint with orange flames on tank
- Extended front forks and wider triple clamps to space the forks out wide Small front fender
- Wider front axle
- Spoked wheels with 21in front
- Motorola electronic ignition featuring an electronic advance mechanism
- Dual gas tanks ( 5gal ) and center console with large speedometer ( like on the FLH )

Subtle upgrades with bolt on items maintaining and respecting
original lines and attitude of the bike! Any imperfections are hard to find with naked eye.
