1981 Harley Davidson Shovelhead Bagger 5 speed FLT Streetglide extras

This is an 1981 Shovelhead bagger. It has the 5 speed tranny, ot the 4 speed that came with most shovelheads. The bike has unknown original mileage on it, ut its pretty high from what I can see. The bike was completly redone around 10 years back... rebuilt motor with lots of goodies like andrews cams, iesco pistons, tc. Everything on the bike wasdisassembledat this time and the wear items (bearings, eals, ables, tc.) were replaced. The paint was gloss black with gold leaf trim and lettering. It was ridden as a second bike after being restored and didnt see much road time. It ended up sitting for a few years and thats when I grabbed it last year.
This past winter, he following work was done:- new front and rear tires- oil flush and change- oil lines replaced throughout- brake hoses, alips,masters, ads and rotors replaced- chain replaced- fishtail exhaust pipes replaced- battery replaced- throttle and clutch cable replaced- Carb cleaned
The bike has a center saddle bag/seat rest that goes with it.
Other aftermarket pieces in addition to the engine work are chrome throughout- I'm not going to list everything, ut a comparison between the look of this bike and a stock bike will quickly show how much has been put in in this department.
Paint looks good except on saddle bag lids- they have chips and whatnot.
Runs and rides right
Like most if not all shovelheads, hen you start it after it sits for a while it dumps a little oil out of the overflow drain line, omething to do with the check valve in the oil pumps. Also, he ignition switch will turn with or without a key. Its a readily available $70 part that I just never got around to.
