1958 XLCH IRONHEAD Early Sportster RARE HD Harley XL XLC K KHK XLR TT

Exceedingly RARE 1958 XLCHIronhead Competition racing bike.Original # matching motor. Internally rebuilt with receipts. Runs Strong and loud. does not smoke. Great clutch, hifts well, tays in all gears.
This Classic, acing Harley is thesecondyear of the Ironhead OHC and the first year of the high compression, ompetition Hot racing model. Only 239 were produced for a number of California dealers that had requested a stripped down racer. It is the only year that the CH would have been stripped down for competition deleting the headlight, peedo, ad a bobbed rear fender etc. This bike has been stored dry for 26 years and started 2nd kick after dehibernation. I have found the bottom of the internet sourcing sales brochures, arts books and owners handbook info that I will include copies of with this sale.
CLEAN TITILE / VIN *58XLCH2417* Original Frame, tamped K 7 - (November 1957) This is correct for a 1958 bike.
Like many others, his bike was made more street-able in the eighties with a paint job, ater front end, 6/19 wheels, battery, eadlight, ircuit breakerdistributorand electric ignition coils. TheSprocket cover as you can see, s not original.
That being said, ncluded with this bike will be a correct originalHORSESHOE Oil Tank, FAIRBANKS MORSE magneto, nd correct decals for the gas and oil tanks as well as a pair of weld-on saddle mount tabs to make the bike more correct. The rest is up to you.
