Description

This is a very clean, ot wrecked or dropped 1997 Harley Dyna Low Rider with a S&S crate engine, arbureted, ored .10 over and installed at 39K. The cylinder heads are original, ust bored to clean them up. The new engine has a little more than 20k on it and doesn't leak or burn oil. The transmission is original, ut with a couple new parts to refresh it as described below. I'm the 2nd owner, aving had it for a couple years now. I purchased this bike from Winchester Harley-Davidson in Winchester, A. It's a very clean motorcycle with few flaws; they are described in the condition description above for you. The original owner of this motorcycle swapped out engines because of low compression and leakage of the factory engine. He decided to basically rebuild the rolling chassis to refresh the bike. It has over 10k! in parts & labor done to it mostly by Skip's Speed & Custom Cycles in Winchester, A. and receipts are available, hough I would need to scan them to send to you in advance. I have the printed copies supplied to me at time of purchase which I will provide at time of delivery. It runs very well, ulling strongly in all 5 gears. It sounds as a Harley should to me; not overly loud, ut gets your attention. Great stump-pulling torque and smooth shifting. It offers a Russell custom leather seat, hich can accommadate a slightly larger posterior. I also added a Genuine Harley Sissy Bar for a passenger; easily removable. The tires are good and balanced; no vibration issues. I will list some basic items replaced to give you an idea of what was done to it in addition to the engine replacement, s follows: 40K- New Steering Head Bearings, wing Arm Bearings, ork tubes w/ progressively wound fork springs from Progressive Suspension, nner Primary Case, uter Primary Case, hifter arm shaft w/ bushing & oil seal in transmission. At 53.5K- Front & Rear Metzler tires, ront & Rear brake pads, ront & Rear Wheel Bearings repacked, ront & Rear Bearings end-play checked-ok. At 55k- New Primary Chain, ngine Chain Sprocket, lutch Basket & Bearing, lutch Hub, lutch Plates-Fiber & Steel, ompensating Spring. The engine work was more exhaustive and detailed; again, eceipts available. Finally, had my local Harley dealer change the engine an primary case fluids last fall for the winter months and it's been on a battery tender the whole time. The battery is strong and it carnaked up without issue. No smoke or anything. As I might ride it a little to stretch it's legs; the mileage may go up a little by the time of purchase. Just local miles for pleasure. Feel free to ask questions and thank you very much for looking and Good Luck in bidding!
