1979 Harley Davidson custom chopper "Iron Gypsy" built by Bare Knuckle Choppers in 2008. This is not some huge rear tire thrown together chopper that handles terrible and can't be ridden for more than 10 minutes at a time. Everything has been designed to function as good as it looks. It is titled as a 1979 Harley Davidson still with the factory stamped engine numbers, ot as assembled from parts or any of that.
This bike started out as a donor 1979 Harley Davidson FXEF Fat Bob 80" (1340cc). Everything was scrapped except for the drivetrain. The engine was fully rebuilt from the crank up before being put into a roller from Bare Knuckle Choppers. I have receipts for the engine rebuild from the original owner and was told there are maybe 1200 miles on the bike since it was completed. The engine runs great and does not leak, moke, r have any issues. It has a Rivera SU carburetor and Dyna 2000i electronic ignition and starts right up always without issue, ot or cold. It is setup as jockey shift with a foot clutch but is extremely easy to operate. It has the correct for the year Harley rotary top 4 speed transmission in it with a brand new BDL belt and clutch setup.
The frame is a 6" up and 2" out wishbone style with a 38* rake. And it has a hand made one off chrome springer front end. Rear tire is a 160 width.Hawg Halters calipers with Joker Machine and GMA master cylinders so it also stops great. Tires are Metzler and have tons of tread left. The paint is custom mixed and has a heavy metal flake that looks amazing in the sun. The sissy bar and fender are very sturdy and can easily support the weight of a passenger if you wanted to add a suction pad for them. There are threaded mounts on the frame that were put there for the option to bolt passenger pegs to in the future. The rider has a hand tooled leather seat with the "Iron Gypsy" name on it. Foot controls are also custom made for the bike, long with the handlebars that feature an internal throttle for a clean sleek look.
I have a folder of paperwork that comes with this bike, ncluding an MSO for the frame and receipts for pretty much the entire build. This was a very expensive build and the it shows with the quality of the work and how well it all functions. Do not miss this opportunity to own a super cool retro style chopper that will make everyone forget about the big wheel bagger parked next to you. This bike draws a crowd everywhere it goes! I have a clean MN title in hand. Feel free to ask any questions. I can assist with shipping both internationally and domestic.
