Beautiful 1965 Sportster.
Clear California Title.(Name of new owner on the back of the Title is still blank)
This little Rocket ship runs fantastic.Everything works great. Clutch, ransmissionand brakes work perfect. (NOTE, he front brake was converted to a Disc Brake)
I bought this bike from a Navy officer in San Diego. His service was over and he moved back East. He had the bike for 8 years.
I purchased this bike last year for my wifeand then found out she couldn't kick start it.Plus, fter riding it I felt it was way too powerful and fast for her.
I paid $6,000 for the bike knowing it needed a lot of work.Even though the Navy Officer just had the Top-End rebuilt forover $2,000.Then I spentanother $2.000 in parts andanother $2,000 in mechanical work.(All receipts available)The only thing it needs now is an oil pan gasket. It drips a little oil which is verycommon for these old Sportsters. A new gasket would stop the dripping.I was quoted $750 from HWY 66 Choppers in Montclair, A. to change the Gasket because the motor has to come out.
The paint is beautiful but there have been a few chips thatwere touched up.However it shows beautifully. (It's kind of like getting a new car and worrying aboutgetting a door ding. Once it happens you can relax and not worry about it any longer.)
I have seen these Classic Sportsters on ebay lately from $12,000 to $25,000I have a reasonable reserve on this bike but I would sell it before the auction ends for $7,500or a reasonable offer.Ever though I have been told that I should be able to get back the $10,000I have spent on this bike.
The bike is in Walnut, A and is available for inspection anytime.
