Description

You are bidding on a 1934 Harley Davidson VLD. In the VL series. the VLD is the high compression solo machine with the 74 (1200) TNT motor. 1934 is the first year of the full valenced fenders both front and back. This is a mostly original motorcycle in good condition. Motor cases match and are nice. with no damage or repairs. Near as I can tell. the tanks and fenders. frame. forks. etc are original. This motorcycle has been in storage since the late 70?ˆ™s and was owned by a friend of mine that has a local motorcycle shop. He went through the motor and transmission (new rings. bearings. seals. and gaskets where needed) some years ago. but did not run the motorcycle. I bought it from him last year and added the following:

Relaced rims with new stainless steel spokes from Buchannan?ˆ™s Spokes and Wheels New Firestone Deluxe Champion 400x19 tires with new tubes and rim straps New wide solo (correct for 1934 Harley) handlebars from Faber Cycle and Machine New 7 inch chrome spirals from Faber Cycle and Machine New throttle and spark advance cables New brake lever and cable New exhaust system with parkerized hangers. and 1934 high flow muffler New solo seat New Headlight (not correct for this year) New Oil Lines New Chain New center stand latch Replated gas caps (not the oil cap) Various pieces of hardware where needed

Also included (see picture) are the battery box cover. an accessory front fender light housing (I think this is 1934 vintage too). the original dash (missing the gauge. light. and some switch parts). and various spares. Missing are the tool box. chain guard. and inner primary and small inspection cover.

This is a great old Harley that pulls strong and shifts like it should. With a little tuning it?ˆ™s ready to ride the way it is or to restore to factory specs.  As you can see by the pictures. this was most likely painted back in the 70?ˆ™s and the paint is old and a bit rough. but the bike looks cool and get?ˆ™s lots of attention.

This Harley is sold as is
