I never thought I'd do this but here it goes. I'm selling my 1983 Harley FLH Shovelhead. Probably one of the nicest you will find anywhere . Adult owned and garaged. I bought this bike about 1989 with 15. 00 original miles on it and then sold it to a friend and then bought it back. The bike was purchased new and serviced at Mill's HD here in South NJ including an engine top end rebuild just before I bought it. That is the only time the engine has been open. It now has 20. 60 original miles on the original speedo. (the trip reset button is long gone) It is a factory belt drive bike. All Original dark red paint with the exception of one bag lid that was repainted in the 80's and still looks perfect (color and shine are perfect and you would not know it unless I told you). Original seat. back rest. and wiring. Original motor with matching numbers title to frame to motor. Frame still has factory sticker. Original transmission. Original matching fairing and tour pack . the pictures of these were taken up in my attic where they have been stored. The picture of the fairing looks pretty chipped up but its only in the photo (I think its pieces of insulation) The tour pack has some scratches on the top that can be touched up. Although they aren't in brand new condition . hey are equal to the condition of the bike. Original exhaust with fish tail slip on's but the original mufflers come with it. I put an S&S carb on it 25 years ago but the original comes with it plus the original carb cover and backing plate. The carb cover that is on it now is not the original one. I put this one on and modified the backing plate to allow it to mount to the S&S to keep the original look. It has the original rear passenger mounts but the rear pegs have been changed. Original owners manual included. 2 Harley ignition keys and 4 bag keys. The bike sits on a set of Dunlop MT90x16 with great tread. The only extra chrome on the bike would be the cam cover which was done at the engine rebuild. All lights work. no engine smoke or noises. trans shifts perfect and its not an oil leaker. Brakes work as they should and it goes down the road exactly as it did in 1983. The following was done in the last year. battery. neck bearings . heel bearings. front leg seals. all fluids. tune up and adjustments. The right handlebar buttons have been replaced due to fading but the left ones are still original. There is no rust. its never spent a night outside . Paint is great but keep in mind this bike is almost 32 years old so if your expecting out of the showroom new keep looking. Its about as nice as any bike out there only with a little bit of "patina". You will find a few scratches and chips but that only shows the originality of it. Clean clear title in my name. Registered and insured as an antique in my name. I don't know what else I can tell you but if there's any questions e-mail me. I'm selling it because there comes a time when back issues and arthritis issues make it uncomfortable any longer bouncing around on 2 wheels. You young guys will know what I mean in the years to come. I guess I could do like most older riders do and buy that car like 3 wheeler but that's not really riding a motorcycle. I'm still keeping my older HD that will be my "down the road and back bike" so I'm not out of it completely. Original low mileage Shovelheads are getting harder to find and prices will never go down. If you do not have more than 10 feedbacks here on ebay please contact me before you bid. Title will not be transferred until I'm satisfied that payment is legit and clear. I'm retired and I can be available just about any time for your shipper to pick up. The bike can stay in my garage after full payment is made for a couple weeks until you make arrangements for pickup. This bike may be pulled off ebay if I sell it locally. This bike has been represented honestly and my 100% feedback is important to me. If you buy it and come to pick it up and you find that it isn't as I have described I will refund your money. If you buy it and ship it without an inspection the deal is done when it goes on the truck. I welcome your inspection since this bike has no issues and nothing to hide. $500 Paypal deposit if you win the bid and the rest to be paid in a wire transfer or green American cash ONLY !!. No other checks or type of payment will be accepted. Buy it. fly in. I'll pick you up at the Atlantic City Airport and then take a road trip back home with your "new" Shovelhead. I have confidence it can be driven anywhere . But. obviously this is a 32 year old bike and the warranty expired 31 years ago so it is an as is sale. Thank you
