1990 HARLEY-DAVIDSON BLACK

Too many projects and not enough space have made me decide to sell my old Harley. I have owned it for over 3 years but don't seem to get time to ride it any more so it has to go. In my ownership it has had the following done. Powder coated frame and swing arm. New tyres and solid rear wheelNew switchgearNew Ignition switchNew brake padsReplacement speedo/warning lightsOil pressure switchNeutral switchNew clutch and throttle cablesNew indicator control moduleNew (very expensive) batteryLarge capacity fuel tank. In addition this bike has a twin disc front fork set up with a twin disc stainless rim front wheel. It only needs a disc and caliper plus piping to convert to twin disc spec. Oil cooler fitted. No idea of mileage. Previous speedo had approx 4300 miles. I have checked top end of engine and still on standard bores with no wear evident. It runs well and does not burn oil. The paintwork is genuine Harley black but I would describe it as average. Not a brilliant spray job but ok. There is no rust on the mudguards or frame. Bad pointsFront fork seals starting to weep slightly. It has not been used much this summer and since being stood the carb float will occasionally stick. In summary If you are looking for an old classic Harley 1200 this is a good bet. It needs a bit of fettling from being stood but all of the major stuff is done. Don't expect a show stopper but it is a genuine 1200 that with a bit of sorting would give good service. Please please don't bid unless you want it.
