Wow ! 1995 Harley Softail Heritage Classic that has covered only 2500 miles from new. UK supplied from new by Windy Corner Harley Davidson. it was ridden only a handful of times before being put into storage due to ill health on the part of the owner. whom sadly subsequently passed away from his illness. The family retained the bike. unused and in proper heated (carcoon type) storage. until a couple of years ago when they sold it on to a friend of theirs and the original owner. The bike continued to be stored until quite recently when it was taken to Black Bear Harley Davidson in Newmarket for light recommissioning and it's first service. We have now taken the bike in part exchange from the 2nd owner whom has known the bike from new. With all studded leather luggage kit. chrome luggage rack. pillion seat and padded backrest. tall screen and a few other original Harley chrome bits. this bike is very close to as new condition. Harley Softails are defined by their 50s retro styling. outsized mudguards. long forks. abundant use of chrome and studded leather. and with concealed horizontal rear suspension to give the appearance of the original. bone shaking but iconic. Hardtails. Being a 1995 machine this one has the much sought after last incarnation of the 1340cc Evolution (EVO) engine. designated FX4R. It's worth mentioning that this engine almost single handedly turned the company's fortune around when first released in the mid '80s. and has a most significant part in Harley Davidson's more recent history. Of all aluminium construction. with gear driven single camshaft. carburettor fed. 2v per cylinder OHV. it ensures that this bike sounds totally amazing in a way that only this type of bike can. Being carburettor fed. and free of all the current emission regulations. it sounds quite different to the latest big twin cam V-Twin Harleys.
