Description

This is a very rare motorcycle that was bought new and owned by the same family since 1971.   It was kept at a summer home and ridden on weekends whenever the family was there.   Only as an estimate as there is no odometer. it probably has no more than 1. 00 miles on it as infrequently as it was ridden.   The summer home has since been sold and due to even more infrequent riding. the motorcycle also has to go.      The motorcycle was a joint venture between Italian manufacturer Aermacchi and Harley Davidson.   It was produced and sold in Italy.   Very few made their way over here to the U. S. and even fewer are still around.   It has a 350cc single cylinder motor that makes a ton of torque.   There are some unique features to the motorcycle:  It has a 4 speed transmission with a 1 up and 3 down shift pattern. The factory kickstand is on the right side.   The gear selector is on the right. and the rear brake is on the left side.   The very pronounced exhaust note is a combination of Italian melody and American grunt; nothing else sounds like this motorcycle.    It has always been well taken care of and received the servicing it needs.   It currently has 1 year old tires that still show the fresh strips and a battery from last summer.   A couple of years ago. the tank and exhaust were re-done as they were starting to show their age.   The original Pirelli tires and factory air box / intake are included with the sale.   Clear title in hand and ready to go.  The reserve is set reasonably low.  Please ask any and all questions before bidding and I'll do my best to answer them.   The motorcycle is located in Glen Ellyn Illinois (Western Chicago Suburb) and can be seen with some notice. *** PayPal deposit of $250 due within 24 hours of auction end.   The balance must be paid in full before the motorcycle goes anywhere.   Shipping is the sole responsibility of the winning bidder but I will assist in any way that I can ***
