This 1965 Harley Davidson Panhead is a special bike with a colorful history is American culture.

There?ˆ™s a lot to say about this Harley. and I?ˆ™ve included as much information as I could gather below. If you have questions that aren?ˆ™t addressed. let me know.

VIN Number for the year is on the engine case: 65FLH5145.

Unknown mileage! The odometer has not worked for several years.

The current owner purchased this bike from a Ventura Hell?ˆ™s Angel several years ago. Whatever this bike saw. it isn?ˆ™t talking!

Bike has been registered as non-op since 2007. The title is clean and ready to transfer. *It has been ridden since 2007. despite being officially non-op.

The bike is 90% OEM Harley Davidson parts. but there are a number of parts that are from other HD years / models. I do my best to address those details and the modifications that the current owner has made below. These details are in no particular order:

?·        Took off front and rear drum brakes replaced with dual disk front brakes. PM front calipers. Willwood rear caliper brakes. (Illustrated)

?·        Wishbone frame special weld (Illustrated)

?·        Elec ignition updated with new alternator

?·        Aftermarket 16" bars (Illustrated)

?·        Aftermarket primary belt (Illustrated)

?·        45 caliber gunshot hole in front fender. (Illustrated)

?·        Pedal with Harley emblem. It?ˆ™s a 1940s or ?ˆ?50s right pedal (very rare. has cracking on one side) (Illustrated)

?·        Original Harley tanks. Dual split from an older Harley. (not a fat bob). Emblems on tank are original. (Illustrated)

?·        Forks are from an earlier model wide glide.

?·        Hubs and wheels: sandblasted and powder coated several years ago. Hubs and wheels are American Stainless.

?·        OEM Harley mirror (Illustrated)

?·        Stainless braided brake hoses. Replaced rubber hoses

?·        Added  Lockhart engine oil cooler. (Illustrated)

?·        Motor rebuilt and cases were split to fix a worn down cam. At that time. other HD bike parts were discovered in there. but the engine was rebuilt with original Panhead parts. There was a time when it didn?ˆ™t leak oil!

?·        Transmission is from a 1950s bike.

?·        Kickstart only. 4 speed. Usually starts on first or second kick. unless it's a cold day.

?·        Frame has been sandblasted and powder coated before. needs it again.

?·        Odometer never worked for the current owner. Unknown exact mileage. but only ridden on nice days. The mileage you read on the odometer is not correct.

?·        New regulator rectifier.

?·        Ignition system and charging system has been changed.

?·        Rear fender is fiberglass.

      Aftermarket rear-facing light above the license plate (Illustrated)

?·        No passenger pegs. You can see where they were once welded. (See the image where the seat is flipped upwards. the weld marks are against the far left of the picture before the rear fender)

?·        Engine is bored. don't know how much.

?·        Takes off fast!!

?·        Right pedal return spring has been replaced.

?·        Chain has low miles.

?·        Recommended Service: Change main transmission seal. rocker cover gaskets. cam cover gasket. left hand engine main seal.  

*A little hard to shift. may need some service.
