2003 Harley Davidson Road King

Pictures pretty much say all that needs to be said about this great 03 but would like to point out a couple of things.   All paint and chrome is in great shape (except a few small nicks under the bags).   The front and rear skirts. timing cover. passenger floorboards. and front/rear light covers have been replaced with the chrome skulls. As you can see all floor boards are chromed. I?ˆ™ve added chrome bag guards and then replaced the front and rear fender guards with ones that helped carry the lines/theme from the front to the rear.   Also. both the upper and lower front forks (and handlebars for that matter) were replaced with chrome (the brushed aluminum and steel just did not set off the black paint as well as I liked.   Because the existing switch covers. brake and clutch levers. and brake reservoir looked shabby against the all that had been added. I bought new chrome elements for them as well.

There are three saddles.   My favorite for looks is the slimmer of the three.   The touring saddle. as you can see by the distance it travels up the tank. is a genuine Electra Glide Ultra saddle (vice a ?ˆ?pillow look?ˆ™ saddle.   It?ˆ™s great for long rides.   If you?ˆ™ll look closely at the pictures with the tour-pack in them you?ˆ™ll see that the passenger has a great backrest and arm rests for comfort.   The tour pack. like the windshield. can be removed within a few seconds and without tools.

Finally. I modified all of the lights by extending the rings.   This gives the bike a more substantial look and both the front and rear look more like a finished machine instead of the drab barren look so many bikes are cursed with.  

Carburetor has been re-jetted with Screaming Eagle parts. same with the air cleaner.   I?ˆ™ve included a picture of the stamped warning that exists on the exhaust pipes; these are the very rare original Screaming Eagle ?ˆ?not legal for street use?ˆ™ pipes that generate a perfect exhaust note and pass the air quickly enough to generate added horsepower and torque.   In short. it doesn?ˆ™t sound like a canary with a cold; it sounds like it was meant to.  

This is a carbureted bike!  The rubber mounted engine has a great rocking movement while at idle.  When running it up to speed it doesn?ˆ™t purr. it growls!

Reserve is three hundred below than the buy-it-now price.   If you buy at the buy-it-now price I?ˆ™ll toss in a Genuine HD leather jacket (size XL) w/zip in/out liner  that is in great condition. a pair of leather chaps that are in poor condition.
