I?ˆ™m reluctantly selling my 1948 Harley-Davidson WL Flathead Bobber. It is newly rebuilt from the ground up from boxes of parts.
The motor was rebuilt by Paul Friebus at American Cycle Fabrication in Bloomsburg. PA. Paul holds the land speed record for a naturally aspirated Harley-Davidson Flathead. It?ˆ™s a 4 5/8 inch stroker motor with some internal modifications. It?ˆ™s a strong running 45 with less than 500 miles on it. I spent over $5000 on the motor and have all the receipts. The motor. frame. transmission and rear wheel are all original. as well as the modified carburetor. The gas tanks. oil tank. fender. seat. and front end are aftermarket. The front wheel is from a 78 Sportster. Many parts were hand fabricated. It has turn signals. electric horn. and brand new magneto. The seat may look weathered but it is new. It has a jockey shift with the original rocker clutch pedal. I have a clear PA title with antique plates.
