Description

Offer for auction is a 1945 E Knucklehead with a 1940 Harley sidecar.   This is an older restoration (15 years) and has given me 20+K miles in faithful trouble free service.   The bike was originally titled to the legendary Johnny Piano who owned a motorcycle escort service in Memphis in the 40's and 50's. Included is a Tennessee title from his wife to document the machine and provide its providence.

The is not a hundred point restoration and is priced accordingly.   It has been converted to 12volts (cases not drilled)  and really lights up the road.   The rear fender. tail light. speedo. front brake baking plate (double leading shoe). seat. exhaust and other small parts are repop.   The engine line bore numbers match.   The tranny is a four speed and the bike is geared down for the hack and she pulls it nicely.   The left leg makes for a nice reverse!

The sidecar is a 1940 and was restored using new metal fitted to the old.   It is a first class job.   The lights are original.   The sidecar upholstery and trim strips are repop.

I will be happy to answer any questions if you are a serious bidder.   Auction is subject to cancellation if sold locally.   Buyer must provide shipping. Overseas buyers are welcome.

Good luck bidding.   She's a good one.   If you have been wanting a rare wartime knucklehead. this could be it.
