2002 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 - custom project rebuild

2002 Harley Sportster. 1200cc with Stage 1 Kit fitted and 12000 miles covered.  I purchased this bike in August 2012 as a rebuild project. it was a stock Sportster 1200 Custom. Over the winter I tore down and rebuilt the bike to my specifications - I wanted it to be evocative of a Sportster '48. but faster. nbsp;with a stronger look. better braking and better suspension.  The previous owner had the engine bored out from 883cc to 1200cc - I have the receipt for this work (and some other receipts).  A great deal of time and money was spent on this bike. I now want the space for another project.  Here is a list of the items I fitted to the bike (replacing stock parts). This is not exhaustive as I spent so much time on this bike and have changed almost everything.  Wide Glide Kit fitted to front - TUV approved.  Wheels rebuilt with stainless steel spokes.  150/80-16 tyres fitted front and rear.  New bearings in headstock. nbsp;swing arm and both wheels.  Frame. fork bottoms. headlight bowl. fender trim. pulley. forward controls. battery tray. switchgear. wheels and hubs powder coated. Custom paint job by professional painters. Hagon rear shocks. Progressive springs in front.  New fork stanchions.  Harley Davidson LED indicator mirrors. Harley Davidson Cluster LED rear lights.  Biltwell 28" tracker bars - internally wired.  Biltwell Kung-Fu grips.  Engine painted in Harley Davidson wrinkle finish black.  Replaced all frame bolts with Colony Machine bolts (chrome or stainless steel).  New gaskets all round.  Braided brake lines (HEL) front and rear.  Braided clutch. throttle and idle lines (Drag Specs).  Braided oil lines (Earl's Performance).  Chromed derby and points cover.  RB Racing 2:1 Exhaust Pipe - build to order and imported from California. extremely rare in the UK.  K&N hi-flow filter. Dynojetted carb. Bike has been dyno'ed at HM Racing. Radius fabricated and cut into rear fender.  Special wide glide front fender from Vulcan Engineering Company (in USA).  Custom fabricated rear registration plate.  Relocated speedo.  Relocated ignition behind rear cylinder.  Relocated horn.  Raised petrol tank 2" Custom foot pegs - BMW style.  Custom gear lever - Trapper style.  Sportster R seat. Rewired and streamlined wiring loom - still following the HD wiring diagram.  LED sidelight and Xenon headlight.  Leather Bag - sold separatelySissy Bar - powder coated. will be included in the sale.  If you are still reading. well done! This is a great example of a Harley Sportster- that is not TOO customised. It's not a 'chopper'. or a 'rat bike' - it is a solid Sportster with a '48 influence.  I realise there are newer Sportster's with less mileage for sale on here. but the specification and condition won't be as good as this one.  If you have any questions. please email or call.
