HARLEY DAVIDSON 1938 KNUCKLEHEAD - FLATHEAD FRAME.   This is a very nice 1938 Frame with a 28 degree rake.  It has a poor powder coated job.  The frame has the 1938-1939 tool box mount with one of the bolts run off inside.  The tool box mount has the round. threaded bolt mount.  The frame looks straight but does have the normal frame flattening on the bottom (see pictures). This frame is correct for 1938 and is all seated together except where rear leg ties into top backbone.  It has the cap brazed onto rear brake stay.  I can see the Hallmark on the neck webbing but it is hard to read because of the heavy powder coating.  There are also numbers on the webbing. on the top tank mount. but they are also hard to read because of the powder coating.  It appears to have all the genuine factory tabs.  There may be a small repair on the round bar under the neck but again I can't be sure.  It may just be the powder coating.  this is a very nice. rare. 1938 frame that anyone should be proud to run.  I just picked up some more prewar stuff.  Watch my eBay for more  to come including 1937 & 1940 UL Motor. Tanks. etc.   The frame weights 55 pounds and measures 54" x 31" x 12" and ships from Stanfield.
